Can You Help My Detained Friend Get Parole From A Detention Center?
A detainee at the South Texas Detention Center in Pearsall, TX needed representation in securing parole. Parole had already been submitted and denied twice, and the Deportation Officer didn’t appear likely to consider parole again for this client. Through persistence, the Deportation Officer agreed to consider parole for a third time, but warned if it was not filed perfectly, he would not agree to run it by the chain of command necessary to get the parole approved. A parole packet with all the necessary documentation was submitted. We didn’t hear anything from the Deportation Officer, which was odd, so we called him and he told me he is running the parole request through the chain of command and it was looking good. A week later, the Deportation Officer called to say that the parole was approved. The client is home now after spending many months in detention.
The client’s friend sent us the following email:
“I would like to thank you for all your help. I appreciate the work and the effort you all put into our case. I have not enough words to describe my gratitude. Our friend is here with us, healthy and happy. May life and God allow you to continue helping people in the same way you helped us.”
The above email is why we love doing our job. Our immigration team is able to reunite individuals with their loved ones. The interesting thing about this case is our ability to get parole so quickly for our client although it is very hard to get parole for any individual. We believe great team work in following the exact specifications made by the Deportation Officer, is the reason as to why he was eager to work with us in getting the client parole.
