Exactech Hip Implant Recall

-

Exactech announced the recall of its hip implants last Friday. In the recall it states that the GXL acetabular liner was inferior to other similar products on the market. The hip implants had premature wear as a result in the improper packaging of the implant leading to the implant not last nearly as long as it should. Because of this, they had to recall hundreds of thousands of their implants. The Exactech hip implant recall is for anyone that received it between 2004 and 2022. As a result of this premature wear, patients are experiencing pain, swelling, instability, and many are having to redo their implant procedure.

As a result of the Exactech hip implant recall, many victims are experiencing both physical and financial pain and suffering. If you have experienced any of these symptoms after a Exactech hip replacement, be sure to keep any records of the replacement, continue to follow your doctors’ instructions, and contact an experienced attorney.
