“You don’t know what it’s like”
I hear this all the time. You’re right.
I do not know what it is like to be severely injured at work, what it is like to lose everything I own because I was hurt at work, not being able to get treatment because my employer and its insurance carrier won’t pay for it, not receiving a paycheck while I am off of work, and not being able to feed my family.
But I will promise you this, it wears on my heart to know clients we represent are going through this.
This is what I am here for; this is what Chhabra & Gibbs fights for every day for many injured workers, their spouses, and their children in Mississippi. I cannot tell you how many times I have been just as angry or upset with your struggles, when a motion is denied that I took so long to draft and spilled my feelings and frustrations into, when you can’t get what you need to survive or relief from your pain.
You may think that your paralegal or attorney does not know what it is like or that we may not even care, but I can guarantee you that we do and that we have lost sleep or been so stressed out because our clients have not been properly taken care of by their employer and its insurance carrier. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. The vast majority of the cases we handle end favorably for our clients, whether by settlement or by trial. We just have to get through the tough times to get there. We hear you, we will fight for you, and we will be there for you.
Michelle started with our firm in 2015 as our receptionist. She then moved on to be one of our legal assistants and then eventually paralegal to Amanda G. Fritz for our workers’ compensation department. Michelle enjoys spending time with her son Brayden who is 7. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
